Dreamliner 2nd Floor Remodel

The Dreamliner 2nd Floor Renovation transformed an underutilized upholstery workspace into a refined Class A office environment for the team at Dreamliner Coachlines. The project reimagined the existing second floor by creating a modern, functional workplace that enhances both employee experience and operational efficiency while remaining fully integrated within an active facility.

A key design feature of the renovation was the strategic opening of the building envelope to capitalize on expansive views of the surrounding rolling hills, creating light-filled executive offices and shared workspaces with a strong connection to the landscape. Internally, the design centered around a dramatic ceiling composition featuring rhythmic natural oak slatted elements suspended against a dark exposed backdrop, establishing warmth, depth, and a contemporary architectural character throughout the space.

The renovation presented several complex challenges, including reconfiguring vertical circulation, introducing a new formal central staircase, and modifying the exterior envelope, all while maintaining uninterrupted day-to-day operations within the occupied facility. Careful phasing, coordination, and expert construction management allowed the project team to successfully execute the transformation with minimal disruption to ongoing business activities.
