The Fisk University New Student Residence meets the growing demand for on-campus housing with a 300-bed facility offering a variety of room options, including 16 ADA-accessible dorms. Certified Construction Services worked alongside the design team to bring this vision to life. The newly built, suite-style residence hall features dorms designed for two students per room, with shared bathrooms connecting each pair of rooms. The four-story building includes a first floor with a spacious lounge, kitchen, office space, reception desk, and public restrooms. The upper floors provide student lounges, laundry facilities, and collaboration and study rooms. The building’s architecture harmonizes the campus’s historic structures with modern design, while its site placement thoughtfully integrates with the existing dorms to the north and Jubilee Hall to the east, creating a seamless connection with the campus environment.
